A journalist at the blog “Mada” gives Breeze unreleased song Loose End an A- but doesn’t give it coverage!
Listening Time: 2 minutes, 29 seconds
mada: this sounds great. But i would suggest improvements in terms of melody because it sounds off on some parts as well as the flow. thus, overall this is a great music and I hope to hear more from you soon.
Breeze Response: I first want to say thank you for the feedback. I believe this was honest feedback and I think your blog tried your best to analyze the song!
My melody in this song switches a couple of times and in-between genres to add which can someone think that the melody is off.
My dancehall flows deals with more of a swing to the vocal take because it doesn’t land on the 4 bar count at rap music does, it lands on the 3 count like what rock music.
Meaning, I vary the flow depending on the genre I choose to rock on. In the beat you can hear a reggae 3 count piano throughout the song.
This was a stylistic decision.
Thank you for the feedback and I hope that next time you will cover my song if I make a song that your blog covers.
Breeze wrote and co-produced “Brand New” with the composer Pete Cruz. Pete mixed and masters the song. “Brand New* is available on YouTube and all digital platforms including Itunes, Google Play, Spotify, and Breeze Website.
